Oppo F5 to be released in 3 variants based on leaked poster

Oppo have been keeping silent about their latest release, the Oppo F5. But while the company has self-proclaimed their F line-up to be the “selfie expert”, its newest additions will likely feature the different variants this time around to capture different demographics of the market.

A photo has been leaked all the way from Thailand that shows a product description of the upcoming variants of the Oppo F5 smartphones. According to the collateral, the company will be selling three different kinds of phones with slightly different pricing and specifications.

The three different variants look similar to each other and show near bezel-less displays that are similar to that seen on the LG V30. Considering that they are budget phones, the appealing quality of bezel-less displays should make for a welcoming prospect for buyers.

Tech Nave’s report suggests that one of the variants that will be coming with the Oppo F5, will be the Oppo F5 Youth and will act as the base variant of the lot, with the cameras being the central focus. It will feature a camera with an f/1.6 aperture, making the second other phone apart from Huawei with such a large aperture on a phone. Other features include a 6-inch FHD+ display, AI Beauty Recognition technology as well as Face Unlock, which may be similar to the iPhone X.

It will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card, a 20MP main camera lens and dual selfie cameras well. Another highlight is the phone’s battery which is topped at 4,000mAh battery.

Other variants of the F5 will include the Oppo F5 vanilla variant with 4GB of RAM, the AI Beauty selfie camera and Android Marshmallow out of the box instead of Android Nougat or Oreo, unfortunately. The screen will also be an 18:9 FullView display with 2160×1080 resolution. The second variant of the phone will feature the same Oppor F5 specs with the addition of 6GB of RAM instead of the standard 4GB of RAM. While all the phones will come with Android Marshmallow 6.0, it seems that Oppo will not be looking to make any big waves with their newest addition to the mid-range segment.

Apparently, the company is selling all three variants with certain freebies such as a VIP card, an Oppo bag, as well as a unique gift bag, based on the image on the poster.
