After much wait and hype, the OnePlus 5 was made official today. The device will be available online starting June 27.
The new OnePlus 5 is said to be the thinnest flagship smartphone in the market. Unveiled at the OnePlus Annual Flagship Launch’ event in New York City on Tuesday, the device will be sold in the US for $479.
Coming to the specifics, the flagship sports a 5.5-inch full-HD Optic AMOLED display and is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. For those needing more power, there is the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant to choose from.
On the optics front, you have a dual camera set up, with one being a 16MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and other being 20MP telephoto sensor with f/1.6 aperture. There is also a 16MP sensor on front with f/2.0 aperture.
OnePlus 5 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat, with the custom Oxygen OS on top. Power will be drawn by a 3300mAh battery with support for powerful Dash Charge technology.
The device will be available in two colors -Midnight Black and Slate Grey. If June 27 is a long wait, you can visit any of the pop-up stores where you can purchase offline. For now, you can spot these stores at New York, London, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Copenhagen, New Delhi and Bengaluru.
