At the end of each year, Google releases a list of the best Android apps. Find below the official top five apps that trended on Google Play globally this year. The rundown does indicate 2016 has been the best year for the new generation of selfies.
1) Face Changer 2
Face Changer 2 is a photo-editing tool, in fact the second edition of the popular app Face Changer, with over 50 million downloads. It allows you to change the face of any image available on your phone or on the Internet. The automatic morph effects include alien, fat, skinny and monster. CastBox is an app to discover and subscribe to over 340,000 podcast content. The podcasts and radio from more than 30 countries and languages are available at your fingertips. You can build up your own customized playlist or even download the podcast mp3 you like. As for categories, you have a list that range from Education, News, Music, to Religion. For those who find the ads too distracting, there is an ad-free version at $1.99.
4) Emoji Keyboard Pro
This popular keyboard app as well featured in the top five Google Play list for 2016. This full-fledged keyboard comes with thousands of emojis and keyboard themes to enhance typing experience. If the themes are not to your liking, you can create your own custom keyboard. The app allows you to enjoy the same keyboard letter styles and sounds. Additionally, it supports auto-correction for cursive writing on text messages.
5) MSQRD
MSQRD is the last app featured on Google Play’s top trending list. It is a free app for creating funny photos or video selfies. Created by Masquerade Technologies, the MSQRD will give you the ability to change the appearance of eyes, nose and top of your head with funny emojis. Users can further choose mask filter effect from the application library to create mask images.
Besides the top five apps, Google also released the top trending games, songs, books as well as movies. The games ranking was dominated by Pokemon Go, followed by Clash Royale, Traffic Rider, Slither.io and Dream League Soccer.
