Official! Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will launch around March or April

Rumors aside, Huawei has made the date it would be launching the much-awaited Huawei P10 and P10 Plus official.

Huawei P10 to come with curved dual-edge display and wireless charging.

According to Huawei’s Chairman and CEO of the consumer division Yu Chengdong, the P10 and P10 Plus will launch anytime between March and April. The Android device is a successor to the company’s P9 that was launched last year.

Previous leaks of the handset had revealed a 5.5-inch QHD touchscreen and HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC. Other hardware internals could see a 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. There are rumors on a ultrasonic fingerprint sensor to be placed under the display.

To run latest Android Nougat out of the box, the P10 is expected to have a non-curved display, while the Plus variant will come with a curved screen.

The predecessor Huawei P9 had been unveiled alongside the Huawei P9 Plus in April last year. It sported a 5.2-inch full-HD IPS LCD display and was powered by a Hi-Silicon Kirin 955 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.

As for juice packs, the P9 was equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery, while the P9 Plus came with 3,400 mAh. The 32GB Huawei P9 retailed for €599.
