Coming two days before the flash sale, Nokia 6 managed to reach the staggering 1 million figure in China. The device will sell on on January 19 through a flash sale at JD.com, a leading e-tailer in the country.

Without question, Nokia 6 is set to give a tough fight to its competitors in the mid-range segment. Launched earlier this month, the Nokia 6 is the company’s first Android phone after HMD Global signed the exclusive 10-year global brand license.

When the pre-orders began, within 24 hours more than 250,000 registered to confirm purchase. The device features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

On the camera front, you have a 16MP rear camera and 8MP front shooter. Other highlights include an aluminium unibody design, 3000mAh battery and Android 7.0 Nougat. The device is priced at 1699 CNY ($247).

According to reports, HMD Global will be releasing up to seven Nokia-branded smartphones this year. The next launch is rumored to be the Nokia 8 at MWC 2017 in Barcelona.
