Making its grand entry to the US market is the new Nokia 6. Consumers can expect it to retail at stores around early July. This will be the first handset by Nokia here though it was announced alongside two other variants at the Mobile World Congress in February. Nokia 6 is the largest of the three Android phones.
The Nokia 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, it has a 32 GB storage and 3 GB RAM. A dual SIM phone, it has expandable memory of up to 128 GB. It has a 5.5-inch display with a 70% screen to body ratio and a resolution of 1080 x 19020 pixels (430 PPI pixel density).
The primary camera is a staggering 16 MP and the secondary camera is a generous 8 MP. Additional features include Corning Gorilla Glass 3, an immersive sound quality by Dolby Atmos and a convenient fingerprint scanner. The phone has a striking clean look with smooth metal exterior and comes in five different colors. Priced at a moderate $229, this is a fabulous mid-range phone.
Report state the phone will be available in July on Amazon. Since it is only compatible with GSM/LTE carriers it limits your options. It will not be compatible with Sprint or Verizon and will partially support 4G LTG by AT&T. The only carrier that will be fully supported with the handset will be T- mobile.
The arrival of this new handset has changed the dynamics of the market. Nokia 6 has made the competition cut-throat, still, we are yet to find out how it scores amongst the Chinese dominated market. For now, it seems like a promising product which provides for more than what its priced at. The new Nokia series will soon be available in other major markets, in the foreseeable future.
