HMD Global, the Finnish company that will be bringing Nokia-branded phones, on Tuesday unveiled its first device dubbed as Nokia 150. It is priced at a mere $26, excluding taxes and subsidies.
The Nokia 150 also has a dual SIM version and comes with a 2.4-inch screen, a Nokia user interface and a keypad. It has a built-in FM radio, MP3 player, Bluetooth and a microSD slot.
The news of Nokia’s comeback is sure making us nostalgic. The latest takes you down the memory lane, reminding of those rugged feature phones that Nokia brought before 2000.
Nokia 150 is no different. It offers talk time of up to 22 hours and standby of 31 days. You have an LED light that can be used as a torch and a VGA camera on the back. The device will be available in select markets by the first half of 2017.
But that is not what should excite Nokia fans. The Finnish company is rumored to be working on two Android-based smartphones that will start at $150.
The Nokia D1C is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 2GB/3GB RAMs and 16GB inbuilt storage. The camera should consist of 13MP and 16MP sensors on the back and 8MP at the front for selfies. The devices could be introduced at the MWC 2017.
