A new leak has revealed the colors of the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S8 which will launch on March 29.
Popular leakster Evan Blass shared press images of the Galaxy S8 that showed the color versions in Black Sky, Orchid Grey and Arctic Silver. There are more colors to it, but for now the leak only confirms the aforesaid.
On his Twitter account, Blass also revealed the price of the Galaxy S8 and its big brother S8 Plus. For Europe, the device is suggested to come at €799 ($860) for Galaxy S8 and €899 ($968) for S8 Plus.
The leaked images also confirm the premium devices will have no Home button in the front. Additionally, the volume buttons and the Bixby button as was reported earlier will be placed on the right edge.
Samsung is reported to launch the Galaxy S8 on March 29 in New York. The event will also be streamed live on the company’s website. The flagship device reportedly will go on pre-order starting April 7.
Though Samsung was initially tipped to announce the S8 at the Mobile World Congress in February, it skipped the launch and announced new Android tablets.
The South Korean tech giant is betting on the Galaxy S8 to make a comeback, particularly after the embarrassing Note 7 fiasco.
The S8 is expected to pack a 5.8-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It is also IP68 certified water and dust resistant. Further, comes equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery, 12MP dual rear camera and 8MP front camera.
On the S8 Plus, you have a 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, 64 GB storage and 3,500 mAh battery. The sensors for pictures will remain same as S8.
The display on both the S8 and S8 Plus will be curved around the side edges making it a bezel-less display. Samsung is expected to bring in its own AI-powered personal assistant, named Bixby that will compete with the likes of Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri.
With just a few days left for the launch, we will soon be able to know how the S8 will live up to the expectations.
