The most recent news of the Huawei Mate 10 involved the phone’s invite which revealed that the phone would be revealed on October 16 and nothing much else. This time around, the company have released a teaser that shows a bit of how the phone will look.
Huawei’s Twitter account had posted a tweet with an image of its last few phones in line, with the supposed Mate 10 leading the at the end. Based on the pattern shown in the phones, the last three major phones released by the company, all featured dual-cameras and it looks like the new Mate 10 will be following suit. One particular message of “note” in the teaser was the peculiar hashtag used, which said, #beyondthegalaxy, pointing out the obvious dig at Samsung’s line. The bold message does give something for fans to look forward to in terms of camera and performance.
According to reports, the Mate 10 will be unveiled at an event in Munich on October 16. It will be powered by the new Kirin 960 chipset and will feature an EntireView Display that will be near bezel-less. The smartphone will supposedly be coming in two flavors – a standard Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro, with the latter featuring the new display tech. The standard variant will come with the traditional display setup. There will be a fingerprint sensor on the back of both of the devices and that there will also be gold version expected to release in the weeks following the eventual launch. Huawei’s chosen camera setup for the Mate 10 will be made in partnership with Leica and the handset will also be the company’s largest yet, with a 6-inch display. Whether the phone will be able to rival the Note 8 in terms of quality and performance is a matter of opinion and real-world usage. But considering that the company has been promising fans with a device that is touted to be the best Huawei smartphone yet, we could be in for a surprise.
