New Huawei listing on TENAA is the upcoming Honor 9?

For all Huawei fans, a new Honor device was spotted on TENAA, the telecommunication certification and regulatory authority in China.

The device bearing the model number DUK-TL30 surfaced on the platform recently. On what exactly the device will be, rumor mills speculate it to be the upcoming Honor 9.

A successor of Honor 8, the device appears to have solid specs with an incredible 5.7-inch TFT display screen with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

The hardware further includes octa-core processor coupled with a 6GB RAM. The internal storage will be of 128GB. No details on the processor’s model are available as yet.

To recall, the Honor 8 came with octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset. Going by the industry practice, the successor could simply come with an upgraded Kirin processor. The 5.2-inch display phone had 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage.

Weighing 184 grams, the soon-to-release phone will have a dual lens camera set up of 12MP+2MP. For selfies, there will be an 8MP snapper. The supposed Honor 9 will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will be backed by a 3900 mAh battery.

If you are curious on the availability, we can only wish Huawei unveils the device during the upcoming Mobile World Congress. If that happens, the device should be available for purchase at least by the end of first quarter.
