With a compact and sleek design, the Arlo Pro takes up minimal space and will not require an outlet for power, making it perfect for outdoor or indoor usage. The wire-free cameras render clear HD video and has long-lasting rechargeable batteries, in addition to instant motion alerts and new smart siren.

“Arlo Pro is the result of our singular focus to deliver the most innovative, intelligent and easy-to-use smart security products that uniquely address home and small business security needs,” said Pat Collins, senior vice president of Arlo products at Netgear.

Pat notes that the wire-free cameras provide customers with an easy way to monitor their entire property. “Now with the addition of rechargeable batteries, two-way audio, an enhanced HD video experience, advanced night vision, improved motion detection, as well as our new smart siren, Arlo Pro delivers the best stress-free toolset for protecting your loved ones and valuables,” he added.

The Arlo Pro Systems’ rechargeable battery can charge quickly when inserted into the camera. And the two-way audio will let you listen on any conversation at home or outside. The camera also boasts of new RGB-IR night vision technology providing best night vision viewing even in total darkness.

It is worth mentioning that Netgear is coming up with smart object recognition for Arlo cameras later this year. It will use advanced machine learning algorithms in the cloud to capture and record events. The smart object recognition can distinguish between people, pets and other objects, and can ignore irrelevant movements.

For those on the move, there is the Netgear smartphone app to easily arm or disarm the cameras. The app is also accessible via Apple TV and other smart home devices. The new Arlo Pro systems retail at $250.
