Motorola taking on the IFA this year, has one of the best offerings of the entire event. While other manufacturers produced phones with powerful processors and flagship-grade specs, the Lenovo owned company offered something just as exciting for a little less than the usual affair, with the introduction of the new Moto X4 that carved a niche for itself right between a mid-range offering and a flagship phone. Snapdragon 630 power
The phone will be using Qualcomm’s new mid-range performer for the Moto X4, which is a notch above the already stellar and efficient Snapdragon 625. The 630 is built on the more efficient 14nm process that aims to increase performance and battery life. The SoC also comes with the Adreno 508 GPU improved graphics for games as well. Coupled with either a 3GB + 32GB configuration or 4GB + 64GB configuration, the phone will definitely fly. And if storage is an issue, users will be able to expand via microSD all the way up to 2TB.
Cameras
Motorola has fitted a dual camera setup on the rear, with the primary of them featuring a 12MP sensor with dual pixel focus and an aperture of f/2.0. the secondary lens on the module is an 8MP wide-angle lens that offers 120 degrees field of view. Its aperture comes in at f/2.2 and will serve to provide for more immersive shots for landscapes and similar wide image photos. The phone comes with Android Nougat of the box so it will feature Google Assistant but Motorola have also baked in Alexa into the device for the first time in the company’s recent history. And users will not need to lift a finger to activate it as well as it is hands-free supported. The company has announced that Alexa will come to more devices later on as well.
