Moto X4 launch might be delayed, Qualcomm to blame?

For those patiently awaiting the arrival of the Moto X4, June 30 will be anticlimactic. Motorola X4 which was rumored to launch in June this year will be delayed due to some technical difficulties. However, the June 30 launch will happen but without the Moto X4 instead, Motorola will mention details on the Moto Z2. This information was divulged by a tipster who had initially speculated the release of the Moto X4 in his tweet.

This delay for the Moto X4 may be attributed to the chipset manufacturer Qualcomm. The demand for its mid-range chipset Snapdragon 660 chip has far outstripped its supply. Qualcomm is experiencing some technical difficulties and the chipset 660 may not make it back in the market soon.

Moto X4 is expected to have IP68 water- and dust-tight, a 3,800 mAh battery, USB Type-C port. It will have a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixel and Quick charge 3.0.  A brilliant deal already if coupled with a reasonable price tag, it would become even more appealing.

The unveiling of the Moto X4 may be delayed but Motorola will be hosting its third product announcement for this month on June 27. Enthusiasts will most likely witness Moto Z2 being officially launched. Earlier this month Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus were unveiled to the public on June 12, 30th June may as well be the probable launch of the Moto E4.

A pioneer of the smartphone industry Motorola has kept its user base engaged and entertained with the unending row of handsets. It seems to be ready to yet again flood the market with its new range of handsets. The Motorola X4, E4, E4 Plus and the Z2 all seem to be promising handsets with features build to please.
