After repeated leaks of specs and images of Moto G5 and G5 Plus, it is now the turn of beautiful press renders that offer a glimpse of the device. The images posted by an online retailer were accompanied by complete specifications of the both the mid-range devices that will reach markets as soon as MWC ends in March 2017.
The world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry, MWC, will be held February 27 to March 2 in Barcelona, Spain. Lenovo’s Moto G5 has created quite a buzz and is among the most anticipated devices at the event.
An upgrade over the 4th gen Moto phones, the latest press renders show the device placed in a vibrant background with a tagline “different is better”. It was posted by Colombian e-retailer Ktronix, according to a report by VentureBeat.
The specs revealed
The listing which was later taken down does confirm earlier rumors on the specs, with the Moto G5 to pack a 5-inch display, while the G5 Plus will be a slightly bigger 5.2-inch display phone. The G5 will be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB storage. To run on Android 7.0 Nougat, the device will be backed by a 2800 mAh battery.
In the G5 Plus, you have a similar RAM but the processor is a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 and storage is of 64GB. The battery will be of 3000 mAh. In terms of camera, both the devices have the same 5MP front facing cameras. But the primary cameras are slightly different. In G5, ou have a 13MP phase-detect autofocus sensor, while on G5 Plus it is a 12MP sensor with dual autofocus.
Both the devices will be unveiled at the Motorola event scheduled on February 26.
