Motorola India has claimed it sold 1 lakh units of E3 Power on the very first day it was launched.
The budget phone, which was unveiled in India on September 19, was exclusively available for buying from leading e-tailer Flipkart.
“Moto & @Flipkart have made History with 100k #MotoE3Power phones sold on launch day! Highest ever sold on day 1 @Flipkart. Thanks to our fans,” tweeted Amit Boni, Country Head of Motorola India.
The Moto E series has been a very successful model since it was first intoduced in 2014. Its phenomenal success brought forth the second generation Moto E in 2015, followed by Moto E3 this July.
Banking on the model’s popularity, Lenovo has introduced a new variant to Moto E3 with enhancements and performance improvements.
The Moto E3 Power runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor under the hood. There is a 2GB Ram and 16GB internal memory which is further expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card.
The 5-inch 1080p display phone features a water-repellent coating, protecting the device from water spills and splashes.
The highlight of the device is its long-lasting battery. The Moto E3 Power packs a 3500mAh battery that can power the phone an entire day even if browsing the web or making calls throughout the day. And if you should run out of juice, you have 10W rapid charger that can give 5 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging.
Towards camera, you have an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera for selfies. The snapshots are automatically backed up and organized on the cloud through Google Photos.
Moto E3 Power clearly aims to deliver performance with a price that users can afford. And with holidays fast approaching, it will clearly have a home run.
