Xiaomi has a introduced a new color variant of its Mi Max 2, that will first reach the hands of consumers in Hong Kong. The Mi Max 2 Black variant will contain the same hardware and features of the base model.
There was only a Gold version that consumers could choose from. With a new addition, there are more reasons for buyers to consider the device. As for price, the device will carry a price tag of HKD 1,899 ($243).
Only setback for those in Hong Kong is that the Mi Max 2 will sell with 64GB storage. The 128GB storage variant for now wont be introduced in the market here.
As for the core specifics, the Mi Max 2 Black version will have a 6.44-inch FHD display, a Snapdragon 625 processor that will be paired with a 4GB RAM.
For pictures, there will be a 12MP camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 1.25 micron and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) on the rear and a 5MP camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture for selfies.
The cameras might not be as impressive, but the battery set up will make up for it. Users will enjoy a massive 5,300 mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology. As for software, Mi Max 2 will run Android Nougat 7.0. with custom MIUI 8 atop.
