Meizu, the Chinese consumer electronics company based in Guangdong, is all set to launch its Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 plus. Speculations are rife that Meizu Pro 7 will be made official at an event on July 26. A new leak further substantiates that it will be joined on stage by the bigger, higher-end Pro 7 Plus. The speculative bunch suggests that the phones will be available for sale by August this year.
The Meizu Pro 7 is the flagship of the Chinese phone maker and it will be powered by Media Tek’s Helio X30 chipset, 4 GB RAM and an internal memory capacity of 64 GB. It features a 5.2 inch 1080 pixel, super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a curved bezel-less display. Coupled with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and a metallic body, the phone scores a full ten points for its design. The phone has a dual primary camera of 12MP and 16 MP and a 5 MP secondary camera. The Pro 7 will be available in two colors silver and gray.
What differentiates the Pro 7 from Pro 7 Plus is the secondary e-ink display on the back, apart from that it is unclear as to what specifications the Pro 7 Plus will have. Some tech insiders suspect that it may have a solid 5.5-inch display as well as better overall specifications than the Pro 7.
The Pro 7 is estimated to be priced at $409, and Pro 7 Plus is expected to reach $555. Meizu enthusiasts across the globe are patiently awaiting the launch amid all the heavy speculations. However, nothing is etched in stone and much like all speculation, rumors, and estimates, users should take this information with a pinch of salt. Nothing can really be said unless the phone is launched in July.
