Meizu M5 Note will launch on Dec 6 with three variants

The much-awaited M5 Note will be released on December 6. Smartphone maker Meizu has sent out invitations for an event where the launch will take place.

Meizu was tipped to earlier release the high-end device along with the Meizu X. However, the latter is launching before the start of December.

The media invite Meizu sent, meanwhile claims that the company sold about 20 million units from the Note series. The M3 Note was the last device, launched around mid-April, this year.

Thanks to the recent benchmark listings, we have confirmed specs on the new device. Meizu M5 Note will feature a MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755M SoC with 3GB RAM. The Android 6.0 device will sport a 13MP camera on the back and a 5MP sensor in the front.

Also spotted on Chinese certification site TENAA, the device it appeared will launch in three variants. Options include 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB of storage. The battery on two will be of 3,920 mAh, while the last one gets a bump to 4,000 mAh.

All three variants have a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Connectivity options will include 4G LTE, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and a microUSB port.

If you are interested in the Meizu X, the device will launch on November 30. The Meizu X is expected to feature a Helio P20 64-bit processor by MediaTek. According to rumors, it will come with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB storage.

Leaked photos also reveal an all-metal design, antenna-less metal back. It is likely to ship with Flyme 6 out of the box.
