Meizu today launched the M5 Note in China. The device is priced at 899 Yuan ($130) and will go on sale starting December 8.

Meizu M5 Note is the successor of M3 Note and comes in two variants – one being 2GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. You also have color options such as silver, champagne gold, blue and grey.

The spec sheet shows standout hardware components with 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and Mali T860 GPU, in addition to a  13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and f/2.2 aperture, and 5MP selfie shooter.

Sporting a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) LTPS 2.5D curved glass display, the M5 Note supports 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and hybrid dual-SIM.

Slightly thinner than its predecessor, the latest Meizu device is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The smartphone, which earlier was spotted on benchmarking sites Antutu and Geekbench, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Besides the M5 Note, Meizu today launched a fitness tracker called Meizu Band. The wearable comes with heart rate monitor and activity tracker. The waterproof and dust-proof band can go on full 7 days on single charge.
