Meizu E2 will be launching on April 26: Rumors point three RAM and storage variants

Around the end of this month Meizu will be launching a new smartphone in China. The company has sent a media invite for the unveiling of the Meizu E2 on April 26.

The Meizu M612C spotted on TENAA is rumored to be the E2

The device will be made official at an event to take place at Beijing Performing Arts Center. The device was virtually unknown until a recent listing on TENAA.

A Meizu phone bearing model number ‘M612C’ was spotted on Chinese certification portal TENAA. If the device is the same Meizu E2, we might just have the core specs to solve.

The TENAA listing reveals the Meizu M612C to be a 5.2-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display phone along with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. There will be three RAM and storage options. While the RAM will have 2GB, 3GB and 4GB variants, on the storage, expect 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Additionally, the device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Meizu’s Flyme UI on top. For pictures, you have a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front snapper.

Another Meizu device launching this month will be the Meizu Pro 7. The 5.7-inch display phone is likely to launch end of this month, according to Meizu VP Li Nan who made the announcement on Weibo.

Though Li Nan did not reveal the name of the smartphone, it is rumored to be the Pro 7, given the fact that Pro 6 launched in April last year. The Pro 7 boasts 4K resolution and AOD display resolution technology. It will be equipped with a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX362 CMOS sensor and 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging support. More details on the specs should emerge in the coming weeks.
