Lenovo has launched a slew of budget phones for the Indian market. The release is timed well with Reliance Jio, making it compatible with 4G SIM cards.
The A6600, A6600 Plus and A7700 runs on Android Marshmallow and comes with 4G VoLTE support. The price tag of A6600 and A6600 Plus starts at Rs 6,999, while the Lenovo A7700, with a 5.5-inch HD display, is priced at Rs 8,540.
Available in Matte White and Matte Black colour variants, the devices come in 1GB/2GB of RAM options and packs 16GB of internal storage.
The A6600 series has a 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.0GHz MediaTek 6735p quad-core processor. The dual-SIM device has an 8MP rear camera with flash and sports a 2,300 mAh battery.
For specifiations on A7700, the device comes with twin rear speakers powered by Waves Maxxaudio effect and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6735p processor. It also includes an 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash and is backed by a 2,900 mAh battery
Lenovo’s A series, which sold over a million units last year, is targeted at low-budget users looking for power features along with 3G/4G capabilities.
The Chinese smartphone maker is hoping to leverage on Jio’s 4G network that offers lowest voice and data plans, and is targeting 100 million users.
