Logitech launched a new webcam today that is feature-packed and pleasingly nimble. The Brio 4K Pro Webcam is loaded with tech and even comes with a list of industry firsts.
A brand synonymous with PC peripherals and accessories, Logitech has always been at the forefront in adopting new technologies. Keeping with that trend, it’s new Brio 4K Pro as its name suggests streams in 4K Ultra HD video quality and even offers 5X zoom.
Brio further comes with support for Logitech RightLight 3 with HDR, offering great camera performance in a variety of lighting conditions, whether low light, high-contrast or backlit situations. Users can select between 65°, 78°, and 90° field of view (FOV) to target just the area they want viewers to see.
In a statement, the company said its new product offers an “unparalleled webcam experience” and is perfect for business video collaboration, streaming live event, or recording professional-quality video in 4K. However, as Tom Hardware notes the 4K functionality only works when the webcam is plugged into a USB 3.0 port.
Brio works seamlessly with popular business applications, including Skype for Business and Cisco-compatible certifications, as well as all cloud video companies such as BlueJeans, BroadSoft, Vidyo and Zoom. It even offers support for Windows Hello and other secure infrared-based facial recognition applications.
As for placement, the webcam has an adjustable clip that makes it easy to place it atop your monitor. The new Brio will go on sale starting today. It is priced at $199 in the US.
