LG V30 will feature SD 835 chipset with 4GB RAM, will premiere day before IFA Berlin

Just as expected, the LG V30 flagship smartphone is upon us, and will be more powerful than the current LG flagship, the LG G6, thanks to a leak availed by GeekBench and case-makers.

The LG V30’s specifications were first revealed in a listing on GeekBench that showed the V30 will come with a Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 4GB of RAM. The SoC will be clocked at 1.9GHz and in terms of performance scores in GeekBench, the single-core tests show a result of 1,899 and the multi-core tests show a result of 6,340. While other specifications such as screen and internal storage have not been delved into yet, the phone can be expected to come with 64GB of storage space or 128GB of internal storage.

Based on a report from Phone Arena, the V30 was identified as the LGE LG-H932PR. The report also mentions that the phone is expected to come with a 5.7-inch OLED display with FullVision in tow at an aspect ratio of 18:9. At the rear, the phone will also come with two rear cameras which consist of a pair of 13MP sensors. The entire device is said to run off a 3,200mAh battery. LG will be ditching the dual-screen set-up this year and leave the displaying to the company’s FullVision technology instead. The phone is also rated at IP68 certification and can be submerged for as deep as five feet for 30-minutes. It has also been suspected that the phone will show itself before the start of the annual IFA trade show in Berlin.

There are rumors that the phone will be showcased a day before the IFA trade show. This offering from LG will squarely be able to compete with the current strength of the flagships of this year as the G6 struggled to stay in place, being far out-matched in terms of power. The V30 will also get Android Nougat 7.1.2 at launch. The will, in any case, be listed for sale soon, most probably by the end of August as even case manufacturers have started creating cases for the phone, such as MobileFun UK and US, who have already listed the cases online. Based on the case’s description and looks, it seems that the phone will come with a fingerprint sensor located below the rear camera. Seeing as it will be using the same display as seen as the LG G6, the phone will have slim bezels on the top and bottom of the front display.
