LG’s new V20 smartphone was officially launched in India today. Coming three months after its debut in the States, the dual-display phone couldn’t have come at a better time.
With a military grade build and aluminium back panel, the device has all the makings of a premium phone and is priced at Rs 54,999 ($800).
The successor to V10, LG’s latest sports a 5.7 inch Quad HD display topped with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, besides a second being of 2.1-inch IPS Quantum display. The LG V20 is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The hardware also includes a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage expandable up to 2TB.
Running on Android 7.0, the phone packs an impressive 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, Laser AF, PDAF and 4K video recording, among others. There is also an 8MP secondary rear camera with f/2.4 aperture and 5MP front camera for selfies.
“With the new flagship phone V20, one can weave a beautiful story every day – all thanks to its high-quality audio, video and dual camera features. In short, it’s a multimedia powerhouse,” Amit Gujral-Marketing Head, LG Mobiles India, said during the launch.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. The features are backed well by a decent 3,200 mAh battery with Quick Charge technology.
The LG V20 is available in Titan, Silver and Pink color options. The phone will be available exclusively on Amazon from tomorrow, December 6.
