LG outs new G Pad III LTE tablet: Know features and price

LG today announced the G Pad III 10.1 FHD LTE tablet with a 10.1 inch (1920×1200) WUXGA display. The tablet was unveiled in South Korea where it will first go on sale.

Priced at KRW 429,000 ($360), the LG G Pad III 10.1 is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, you have 32GB inbuilt that is expandable to 2TB via microSD card.

The tablet is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is backed by a 6000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE via SIM card, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C.

It comes preloaded with Microsoft suite of apps and also a ‘Time Square’ UX that allows you to use the tablet as a desk clock, tabletop calendar or digital frame.

In the camera department, you have a 5MP sensor on the front and rear. Adding to the list of features is the inbuilt adjustable kickstand that can rotate up to 70-degrees in 4 modes.

LG G Pad III 10.1 is an upgrade to the G Pad II 10.1 that was launched in August, last year. The LTE tablet had a 10.1-inch display and was powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The hardware also included 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and 7400 mAh battery.

According to reports, LG is working on a new G Pad series model with a stylus pen that will launch in early 2017.
