LG just unveiled X Power 2, a 5.5-inch display phone with 4,500 mAh battery

LG first launched the X Power in 2016 with a sleek and slim body. It packed a 4,100 mAh battery and was designed for long-lasting use. Now that we are in 2017, LG considered an upgrade and launched the X Power 2.

As is common these days, the X Power 2 features a 5.5-inch HD In-cell Touch display and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor (could be a MediaTek processor). The specs include a 1.5GB/2GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable up to 2TB).

It will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will be armed with a 4,500mAh battery that supports fast charging. LG claims users can enjoy 15 to 18 hours usage on a single charge. Color options include Black Titan, Shiny Titan, Shiny Gold, and Shiny Blue.

When compared with the predecessor, the LG X Power sported a 5.3-inch HD (1280×720 p) IPS display, a 1.3 GHz quad core processor and was backed by a 4,100 mAh battery. Camera sensors included a 13MP sensor on rear and 5MP on front.

In the latest X Power 2, for pictures there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front-facing camera with wide-angle lens and features such as Auto Shot, Gesture Shot, Gesture Interval Shot and Quick Share.

The devices measures 154.7 x 78.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs 164 grams. Connectivity options include LTE, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB 2.0 and USB OTG.

According to an official release, the LG X Power 2 will first release in Latin America around March after which it will be made available in the US, Asia and Europe. The latest release comes just days ahead of the MWC when LG will be unveiling the hotly anticipated LG G6.
