Without much hype, Lenovo has quietly announced a new laptop or rather a 2-in-1 dubbed Yoga A12. It will be a budget version of the Yoga Book that was first revealed back at IFA 2016.
Though it just about resembles the Yoga Book, the new Yoga A12 does come with major changes in the hardware. The most significant would be the larger screen size, an older Atom processor and the touch-based Halo keyboard sans a physical one.

To begin with the display, you have a larger 12.2-inch screen (1200×800 pixels) on this one. It further features a not so impressive Intel Atom X5 processor, but the battery is a massive 10,500 mAH.
When its priced at $299, that is best you could ask, considering you want to own a Yoga Book with a 360-degree hinge to convert to a tablet. The operating system will be Lenovo’s custom build UI on top of Android Marshmallow.

As mentioned earlier, the Android convertible sports a back-lit virtual keyboard that replaces the hard keyboard. It uses predictive typing and haptic feedback to make typing easier.
Backed up by a magnesium alloy body, the hardware also includes a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Yoga A12 is priced on Amazon as $299.99. The original 10.1-inch model if you recollect was priced at $499.99.
To officially release on February 8, the 2-in-1 will ship in many countries this month. We are not sure if Lenovo will showcase the Android tablet at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. The Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus however is confirmed to launch during the tech expo.
