For those in India eagerly waiting for the launch of Vibe K6 Power, here is the date to mark on your calendar. Lenovo will release the 5-inch screen smartphone at an event in New Delhi on November 29.
Introduced at the IFA 2016 in Berlin, the new Vibe K6 Power is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 and Adreno 505 GPU, and is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery. There are two variants – one a 2GB RAM/16GB storage and the second being 3GB RAM/32GB storage.
Vibe K6 Power is part of Lenovo K series which includes the K6 as well as K6 Note. The new device is expected to sell at Rs 13,000 ($190) or under. It runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box and supports Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, 3G and 4G. The camera department will contain a 13MP sensor on the back and 8MP front camera for selfies.
Lenovo’s latest offering comes just days after the company released the Lenovo Phab 2 Plus in India. It was priced at Rs 14,999 ($219) and boasted top of the line features. The device had a 6.4-inch full-HD 2.5D curved glass display and was powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8783 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM.
The 4G LTE phone has dual cameras in the back – both of 13MP, capable of LED flash, PDAF, laser autofocus, and f/2.0 aperture. There was also an 8MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture. For long lasting usage, the device comes with a 4,050 mAh battery.
