Lenovo today made official the P2 handset for consumers in India. It will sell for Rs 16,999 ($248), exclusively on popular retailer Flipkart.
Featuring a metal unibody build, the P2 runs on 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and has a massive 5,100 mAh battery.
The Android device features a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display. The phone will be available in two variants – 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/32GB storage. The storage can be expanded up to 128GB via micro-SD card.
“We are kicking off 2017 in a fully charged way by launching Lenovo P2, a powerhouse smartphone with longest battery and fastest charging,” said Sudhin Mathur, Executive Director, Lenovo Mobile Business Group India, in a statement.
The phone will be available in two colours -Champagne Gold and Graphite Grey. For pictures, it comes equipped with a 13MP Sony IMX258 rear camera and 5MP front snapper.
There is a dual-app mode so you can sign into an app with two different accounts. It also supports Lenovo’s TheatreMax technology to turn screen into VR display.
As part of the launch, Lenovo is offering up to Rs 15,000 off ($219), plus additional discount on exchange of old smartphone.
