There’s a new Galaxy Tab in town, and this time it comes packed with a stylus!
The Tab A has had quite a bit of limelight thrown at it over the past couple months, because like its Note siblings, it is rumoured to come with an S Pen of its very own. Nothing yet has been confirmed or officially announced with regard to the device, but a lot of new images and renders of same have been leaked.

The leaks and their quality suggest that the release date for this new tab isn’t too far away. Up until now, here is everything that the Galaxy Tab A is supposed to feature: A large 10.1-inch display running Android Marshmallow, but definitely will be getting the Nougat update very soon.
Inside, the new Tab is expected to use Samsung’s home-made powerful and efficient CPU – the Exynos 7870 which will be clocked at 1.6GHz. The Exynos is a more than capable chip, that can take on the Snapdragons without even breaking the sweat. Previous iterations of the Galaxy S and the Note series which came with the Exynos scored more performance points over their Snapdragon counterparts.
2GB of RAM is expected to be in the Tab A, although a bit outdated now, it could still work well on this mid-range device. It gets a modest 16GB of in-built storage which can be expanded up to 128GB. A 7,300 mAh battery should contain the juice required for easily a day’s worth of usage. And that’s pretty much it.
Galaxy Tabs have a unique feature to them since they come in all shapes and sizes that match various budgets. The Galaxy Tab A is expected to come in two variants however, but nothing has been confirmed yet. As for the S Pen, no word on that either. The resolution of the screen and other features of the Tab haven’t been announced yet. But the way the leaks show the device, it doesn’t seem to boast any extraordinary design style. It’s remained the same since the first Galaxy Tab came out. Would be nice to see Samsung try something new for once instead of just playing it safe.
It will feature a flash module for the rear camera but no information yet on the two cameras. And it’s still unclear whether Samsung will launch two models at the same time – such as an LTE version and a Wi-Fi only version.
