Oppo has been a big success in the mobile space. Innovation has been at the forefront even as it explores new cutting-edge technologies. The company is now rumored to be bringing a device with Qualcomm’s next-gen Octacore processor. The latest one again reveals the processor model and the launch date.
The Find 9 will be Oppo’s first smartphone to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 CPU. The SoC, which could support UFS 2.1 technology, will be able to deliver up to 27 percent better performance.
If Find 9 comes with the rumored processor, it could also provide 40% better battery backup than its predecessors. Another highlight is Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 feature which is 20% faster and 30% more power efficient.
According to a leak coming from Chinese networking site Weibo, the new Find 9 would be released in March 2017. The leakster also confirmed the processor to be a Snapdragon 835 CPU.
Earlier, alleged press images of the Find 9 surfaced on the Internet. There were also reports that claimed the device will come with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and will feature the super-fast Super VOOC Fast Charging technology.
There is no official announcement on the features or availability as yet. Part of the Find series, the Android phone was to be released in June this year. But that did not transpire.
It is speculated that the device will come with a 5.5-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution, 8GB RAM and storage of 128GB. There could be a 21MP autofocus rear camera and 16MP front shooter for selfies. The Find 9 should pack a 4,100 mAh battery.
The last Oppo device under the Find series was the Find 7, a 5.5-inch QHD display phone with Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM. For pictures, there was a 13MP rear sensor and 5MP front-facing camera.
