The Indian smartphone market is already flooded with a number of brands aggressively pushing their products. There is now a new kid on the block and yes, it’s a Chinese one.
iVoomi is the latest entrant to make a grand entry with its latest iV505. The device will launch sometime in March and will be Jio-ready.
The Android phone is priced at Rs 3,999 ($59) and comes with a 5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. For pictures, you have a 5MP rear camera with flash and 5MP front shooter.
The onboard storage is of 8GB, expandable up to 128GB. Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB port. iV505 will be armed with a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging support.
iVoomi has plans to launch at least four budget smartphones, all of different price range. “We are committed to establishing iVoomi in the Indian market with our innovative products loaded with highly valued SmartMe OS (Customized OS) and features at an affordable price,” the company said in a statement.
It also revealed plans to establish an R&D and manufacturing unit in the country by 2019. iVoomi has tied up with Indian e-commerce platform ShopClues to sell its products across the country.
