While we may not know exactly what the new iPhone 8 may be officially called and what it will be releasing alongside with, we do know the imminent date set for the release of Apple’s newest flagship device, especially since the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that will now be hot on Apple’s heels.
The search volume for the iPhone 8 is still considerably higher than Samsung’s newest flagship, by three times. Samsung is also reportedly providing numerous freebies for customers who pre-order the device, especially since they would want to retain the interest in the Note 8, now that the iPhone 8 launch is close. Earlier reports that depended on the leaks and speculations from fans revealed that the phone was set to launch on September 17 originally and then be available for purchase on September 25. The only problem with these proposed leaks was that September 17 fell on a Sunday and September 25 would have been a Monday, which seemed like an unreal proposition to consider.
Apple will still be sure to maintain the iPhone 8 September launch, running with tradition. Carrier sources, which are now considered more reliable than previous sources, claim that the phone will be featured at a launch event on September 12. Apple has still remained silent on an official confirmation of the same, but if this rumor is true, then it also means that the new iPhone handsets could become available for purchase as soon as September 22, after a pre-ordering stint that would start from September 15, if the company follows its launch pattern. While the iPhone 8 may be released, it will not be as widely available as the iPhone 7s and the 7s Plus immediately after launch, according to reports, based on the shortage of materials required to manufacture the flagship. These manufacturing restraints could prove to become bottle-neck for when customers pre-order the phone and then not get receive it in the stipulated time; much like Essential has done.
Sources speculate that the launch event will take place on September 12 and will feature the new third-generation Apple Watch, that is rumored to feature cellular LTE. There is also buzz surrounding the event of the launch of a 4K Apple TV update as well. If things go as planned for the company, they might even be able to use the new Steve Jobs theatre for the launch event, which is still undergoing construction.
