Fujifilm is undoubtedly one of the major league cats when it comes to instant cameras and the Instax range of Fujifilm, a worthy product range in the instant camera segment, has touted its latest click-on-the-block, Instax Mini 9 that has ‘Japan’ written all over it.
Features
Following the success trail of its hugely popular precursor, the Instax Mini 8, Mini 9 takes only a little further when it comes to the features department. In fact, other than some minor upgrades, there isn’t much for the Instax 9 to boast about. A selfie mirror onboard the Instax Mini 9, placed conveniently near the lens, lets you check and correct the framing when you’re taking a selfie. Click pictures that are as near as 35 cm using an add-on lens called the Close-up lens attachment. The High-Key feature allows you to create pictures with a softer tone by adjusting the brightness setting dial to high-key mode. The Instax Mini 9 also auto-detects the surroundings and chooses the best brightness setting automatically from Indoors Night, Cloudy Shade, Sunny with slight clouds, and Sunny and Bright. Instax Mini 9 is also compatible with both Instax colour and monochrome film packs.
Colors and Design
Fujifilm announced that the Mini 9 will be available in the market from April and will initially come in three colors, namely, Lime Green, Flamingo Pink, and Ice Blue. Later in June, Fujifilm promises to bring in two more colors, Smokey White and Cobalt Blue. The colors and the design shout out Japanese pop-culture and the Instax Mini 9 is the ultimate party prop to click cool pictures and splendid self-portraits.
Price
Fujifilm prices their products competitively and the Instax Mini 9 is no exception. The instant camera is expected to go on release with a price tag of $70 in the US while fellas up north in Canada will have to shell out $100.
