Huawei has launched a new 5-inch device that falls in the budget category. The Huawei Y5 2017 is listed on the official website with details of specs sans the price.
The spec sheet reveals a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixel, a Cortex-A53 processor, along with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable up to 128GB).
Y5 2017 will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top. The device comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP sensor for selfies. It is also armed with a decent 3,000 mAh battery which the company claims will last more than a day on single charge.
One of the highlights is its Easy Key feature that offers a faster way to operate the device. With a simple press, double press, and press-and-hold gesture system, users can easily access their favorite apps.
With regard to connectivity, you have 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS and micro USB port. It is available in gold, pink, gray, blue and white color versions.
Huawei’s latest device succeeds the Y6 II that was launched last year. The curved edge phone had a 5.5-inch display (1280x 720 resolution) and sported a bigger 13MP camera and 8MP secondary camera.
Part of the Y series, the device’s hardware included a 64-bit-octa processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. It was fitted with a 3000 mAh in-built battery as well.
