Huawei has very stealthily managed to release a couple of budget-friendly tablets to the market that should provide for being the least expensive tablet-viewing experience, with an 8-inch model as well as a 7-inch model. The company has dubbed them the MediaPad T3 and T3 7 respectively.

The T3 7 features a 7-inch HD display with a resolution of 1024×600, with the 8-inch variant holding a slightly larger 1280×800 resolution. Under the hood, the 8-inch model comes with a modestly fitted Snapdragon 425 that is clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB or 3GB of RAM with 16GB and 32GB internal storage capacity options. The same features resemble on the T3 7 as well, with the prime exception being that this supports only 1GB and 2GB memory configurations coupled with either 8GB and 16GB internal storage capacities.
Reports indicate there will be LTE and Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi only variants available on offer from the company. The T3 Tablet comes with a 5MP camera on the rear and a 2MP camera for selfie shots. Battery-wise, the bigger of the two comes with a hefty 4,800 mAh battery while the smaller one comes with 3,100 mAh battery and just two 2MP camera sensors. The 7-inch variant also comes with a MediaTek quad-core processor instead of a Snapdragon. Strangely enough, the 7-inch version also does not come with Android Nougat like its larger sibling, which also gets the new EMUI 5.1 skin, but gets only Marshmallow with the older and dated EMUI 4.1 skin. By the looks of it, the company is greatly neglecting the poor 7-inch MediaPad T3 7 with the specs, hinting that the users would be better off going for the larger model. It makes us wonder why the company made a 7-inch model in the first place.
It is clear that the company is betting big on the ultra-budget-friendly market space, even going so far as to provide a tablet with the bare minimum specs in order to make a cheap offering for the masses. We wish that at least they had Nougat as standard on both devices since it is only fair play, releasing a device at this point in time in 2017. Cost wise, the larger of the pair should cost 219-239 Euros depending on the variant, while the 7-inch model should cost about 130 Euros when launched.
