Huawei made the Mate 9 official today at an event in China. Along with the Mate 9 Pro, the Chinese smartphone maker also launched the Mate 9 Porsche Design.
The Mate 9 Pro features 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display with curved 2.5D glass on the front. Under the hood, the device is powered by Kirin 960 processor clubbed with ARM Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. The are two variants to choose from, the 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal memory.
The device sports a dual-camera setup on the rear with one 20-megapixel f/2.2 monochrome and another 12-megapixel f/2.2 RGB. There is also a front shooter with 8-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture and autofocus.
The Mate 9 Pro is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery and support Huawei’s SuperCharge quick charge technology. The device has been priced at 4,699 Yuan ($685). The Mate 9 Pro is currently available for order in China only.
When pitted with Mate 9, you find the Pro version to have a smaller display and the fingerprint sensor is moved to the front. Talking of the specifications on Mate 9, you have a 5.9-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels.
The Mate 9 is further powered by Kirin 960 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The dual-SIM phone is backed by a 4,000 mAh non removable battery.
