For some time media has been abuzz with Huawei’s upcoming Mate 10. The latest is on the the device’s codename, revealed by popular tipster Evan Blass.
The revelation comes just days after the Chinese smartphone maker hinted that the Mate 10 will release on October 16. The teaser image released to the public contained the hashtag #beyondthegalaxy.
Besides the image, Huawei also released a teaser video which confirmed the dual camera set up to be seen on the Mate 10. As for the specifics, it is expected to be comprised of a 12MP RGB sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor. The camera module will be made in collaboration with German optics manufacturer Leica.
There are speculations over the Mate 10 sporting a bezel less display and 2K resolution. Additionally, it could include a metal unibody design and have a fingerprint sensor on the front.
To be more precise, the display is rumored to be a 6.1-inch screen with Quad HD resolution. It could be powered by HiSilcon Kirin 970 chipset and run Android 8.0 with Huawei’s own UI on top. Also, it is expected to come with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
On Mate 10 Pro, meanwhile, rumors suggest 2:1 aspect ratio display with almost no bezel and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. We cannot confirm any of these until the launch draws close. Stay tuned to Gadgets Post for more updates.
