HTC working on a new line up of device monikored ‘Ocean’ was revealed last week. Now we have the names of the line-up, thanks to ROM developer LlabTooFer.
According to LlabTooFer, the Ocean series includes HTC Ocean Master, Ocean Note, and Ocean Smart. Not much details on the specifications are out in the open yet. But given HTC’s commitment to Google’s upcoming Pixel devices, we know for sure the Ocean series could make its debut in the next year.
A video of the unannounced HTC smartphone was first posted by Danelle Vermeulen, HTC Motion designer. A glimpse of the design reveals HTC Ocean is equipping a new touch sense technology in the back panel which could activate certain functions of the phone like the camera or media player with a tap or swipe. The frame of the smartphone will be touch sensitive.
On the leak, Danelle said the HTC Ocean is not a real smartphone but just a concept. “Yes, this is just a conceptual piece and does not represent any real product from HTC,” Danelle was quoted as saying by 9To5Google.
HTC has partnered with Google to build its new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, which are expected to launch at a press event on Oct. 4.
Just a week ago HTC launched the Desire line up that boasts high-resolution cameras and an ultra-fast fingerprint sensor. The HTC Desire 10 Pro and the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle has similar designs but vary in features.
The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle has a 5.5-inch display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC under its hood, 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM, and 16 GB or 32 GB of storage. It sports a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera for selfies.
As for HTC Desre 10 Pro, the device has an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10, 4 GB of RAM, and 32 GB or 64 GB of internal memory. For high-resolution pictures, the device has an upgraded 20MP sensor with laser autofocus, dual-tone flash on the back and 13MP front shooter with F2.2 aperture for selfies.
