HTC U11 Life and U11 Plus specifications and design leaked

HTC has been having an interesting year so far, with the launch of a very sensible yet conventional flagship in the beginning of the year, down to having a major portion of its company being acquired by Google and featuring some of its own tech such as the Edge Sense on the new Pixel line. There is now new information come out regarding two new HTC devices to close out the year.

The two phones which are soon going to be launched by the company are the HTC U11 Life and the U11 Plus, which is an upgrade to the U11. The U11 Life has been the latest to have its specifications leaked on the internet.

As expected, the phone will be an Android One device and will be rocking decent mid-range specifications that should also be able to receive the latest updates to Android much like the other Android One phones currently available like the Xiaomi Mi A1. The phone will feature most of the same specifications of the Mi A1, keeping with the budget-oriented approach that Android One phones are known for.

Based on the leaks, the new U11 Life will come with a Snapdragon 630 chipset, a 5.2-inch FHD display, with 16MP cameras on the front as well as the back of the phone. The phone will reportedly come with 2,600mAh battery as well as an IP67 water and dust resistance rating. Regarding the memory and storage, it seems that there will be two variants of the phone, with one receiving 32GB of internal storage with 3GB of RAM while the other variant will come with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM.

Pocket-Lint reports that the HTC U11 Plus will come with a rear that is made of liquid surface glass. It will be larger than the existing HTC U11 and will also feature IP67 water-proofing. The design language will most likely be the same as the U11 as well and should come with Edge Sense. The specialty of the liquid back glass will be the kind of texture and look that it will give the phone – a finish that will not be found on other phones. The phone is also supposed to come with 18:9 aspect ratio and will be bezel-less like the LG V30 and the G6.

Other rumours indicate that the phone will come with a whopping 4,000mAh battery, making it one of the only flagships to have a larger battery than the competition. We’ll only know how the phone will turn out when it releases in the coming weeks.
