HTC’s upcoming flagship phone was spotted on a benchmarking site with impressive processor scores. The HTC U 11 featured on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 835 processor.
The Geekbench scores for the device show a single-core score of 1912 and a multi-core score of 6137, the results indicating one similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S8.
The Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 1.9Ghz and is paired with 4GB RAM. It will also run Android 7.1.1 when it launches.
To succeed the HTC 10, the new U 11 will be the third in the U family (HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play) that was launched some time back.
HTC has started sending invitations for the launch of the U 11. The device will be unveiled in New York, London and Taipei on May 17.
The invite has the tagline, “Squeeze for the Brilliant U”. The HTC U 11 is expected to come with side-mounted pressure sensors that can be activated with a squeeze. The Edge Sensors will allow users to activate as well as scroll through apps and more.
According to recent reports, HTC U 11, codenamed ‘Ocean’, will feature a 5.5-inch WQHD 2560×1440 display. The storage will be 64GB or 128GB, while the camera is expected to be a 12MP sensor on the rear and 16MP on the front for selfies.
HTC U 11 is rumored to come in five color variants – White, Black, Red, Blue and Silver.
