Just as was expected, HTC launched its latest Desire 10 Pro smartphone in India on Thursday. The launch was held at a special event in New Delhi.
To recall, the HTC Desire 10 Pro sports a 5.5-inch FHD display protected by Gorilla Glass and is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. You have two storage variants – one being 3GB RAM/32GB storage and other 4GB RAM/64GB storage (expandable up to 2TB).
HTC has brought out the device with a price tag of Rs 26,790 ($389). Consumers will begin receiving the device after December 15.
Weighing 165g, the Desire 10 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on top. The camera is an impressive 20MP on the back with f/2.2 aperture lens and laser-assisted autofocus, and 13MP sensor for selfies.
The matte finish body phone is equipped with 24-bit Hi-Res audio and Dolby-enhanced BoomSound speakers. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.
On the battery front, you have a 3,000 mAh battery with Fast Charging support. With that amount of juice, you can enjoy 11 hours HD video playback, talk time of up to 19 hours on 3G network and standby of up to 20 days.
The device will be available in Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue and Valentine Lux colors.
It was in September that HTC unveiled the Desire 10 Pro along with the Desire 10 Lifestyle. The latter launched earlier at Rs 15,990 ($232) with a Snapdragon 400 SoC, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Storage option also included a 3GB RAM/32GB storage.
Besides the HTC Desire 10 Pro, the company also introduced the Desire 10 Evo, the international variant of the HTC Bolt. The price and availability will be made public in December 2016. As for specifications, the device features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 810 chipset, 16MP/8MP cameras, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.
