The much anticipated HTC device, Bolt, exclusive to Sprint’s network was launched today. The full-metal unibody with water resistance alone is enough to bother its rivals. But the device stands out for the speed in terms of connectivity.

HTC Bolt is a 5.5-inch phone that supports Sprint’s latest network technology, said to provide faster download speeds than other networks. Built for Sprint’s LTE Plus network, the device is capable of download speeds of up to 450mbps and upload speeds up to 50mbps.
As for components and features, it is more or less the same as those found on HTC 10. You have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 2TB). The 5.5-inch quad HD display comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The device sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation) and 4K video recording, and a front camera of 8-megapixel for selfies. It packs a 3200mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 for fast charging.
The Sprint phone, which comes with an IP57 rating for water, splash and dust resistance, runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Bolt offers free unlimited photo storage with Google Photos.
Interestingly, HTC has taken the Apple route with no standard 3.5mm headset jack. The Bolt will hence ship with a pair of USB-C earbuds. HTC Bolt will be available in two color variants – Glacial Silver and Gunmetal. With Sprint, you can own the device with an installment of $25 a month.
