Honor V10 to launch on November 28, to feature same specs as the Huawei Mate 10

Honor is preparing for a brand-new bezel-less phone called the V10. It will be launched on November 28. The phone is rumoured to be a big release with the anticipation around it building towards taking on the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S8. Honor may have arrived late to the 2017 flagship party, but at least it is here and hopefully, the company will surprise us all with its new offering.

One of the biggest highlights of the V10 will be its “forward pumping AI speed revolution” – a quote that was translated through their Weibo account. By this statement, we can only understand that the phone will be packing some heavy AI tech into the software, hopefully a custom Honor-made one. Speculations point to a 5.9-inch display with a n  18:9 aspect ratio, with edge-to-edge screen design. The phone is also said to feature the new Kirin 970 octa-core chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM. We can expect the internal storage of the phone to either be 64GB or 128GB. On the software front, we can expect Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box, with EMUI 6.0’s skin over the software.

While the phone is only scheduled to launch in China for now, we can expect the phone to have a global launch a little later, perhaps in the coming months. The phone will also slip into the $450 price bracket, being quite affordable for a flagship-grade smartphone. The company is said to be holding an event in London on December 5 and we might most-likely get to see the international variant of the phone then, along with the 7X, fingers crossed.

The phone will also likely come with a dual setup camera with a 16MP primary sensor paired with a 20MP secondary sensor. All of the features and speculations surrounding the phone point to the device being very similar to the Mate 10, at least on paper, since they share the same processor and the same display. With the OnePlus 5T just a week away from an official launch, Honor will have to pull out all the stops if it will want to offer something to beat the competition in its segment. China is already saturated with many phones of the same feature-set, much like the Mate 10 is. Hopefully, the company will make a global announcement to widen the scope of sales.
