Chinese smartphone maker Gionee is not leaving any stone unturned for the holiday season. It has announced the P7 model for India at a price of Rs 9,999 ($150).
The new Gionee P7 packs a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display and 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. The release comes just months after the P7 Max was unveiled.
Part of the P series, the new device will be available both online and offline, and comes in White, Latte Gold and Grey color options.
For more insight into the specs, you have a 16GB storage that is expandable via microSD slot to 128GB, an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter.
The P7 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is backed by a 2300 mAh battery. Gionee claims the battery offers up to 259 hours of standby time.
Given that the Gionee P7 Max was launched at a price of Rs 13,999 ($207), the company it appears is looking to capture the budget market with a smaller device and decent specs.
