With just few days to end the year, Gionee has outed a smartphone that boasts two massive batteries inside.
The Gionee M2017 will not include a 3.5-mm jack
The M2017 sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 653 SoC and 6GB RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB.
Available only in China for a price of CNY 6,999 ($1,000), the high-end device has a dual camera setup in the back with 12MP and 13MP sensors. There is also an 8MP shooter in the front.
Battery being the highlight, the M2017 is equipped with two 3,500mAh juice packs supporting Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
The device, with Metal and Leather back designs, does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack, but comes with a fingerprint scanner. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo 3.5 UI on top and supports 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C and Wi-Fi.
Weighing 238 grams, the Gionee M2017 should release in other key markets early 2017. The device comes in Black and gold color options.
If you are in the market for a smartphone with a massive battery life, then it would be ideal to wait a little longer for the release. Otherwise, you can also consider the Gionee Marathon M5 that is equipped with a 6,020mAh li-polymer battery. It also works as a power bank to charge other devices.
The 5.5-inch AMOLED display phone is powered by MediaTek MT6735 processor, coupled by 3GB of RAM and 32GB (expandable up to 128GB).
