Reports suggest Galaxy S8 will come with the latest Bluetooth 5.0 which was made official just a few days ago. If the device comes with the latest of the Bluetooth technology, you can expect faster data transfer speeds and reduced connection barriers.

According to the the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), the latest in its technology offers four times more range, two times speed, and eight times broadcast message capacity.

The SIG did hint that it will include the technology in smartphones launched in the next few months. Galaxy S8 could be the first to feature the wireless technology.

The premium device is expected to be launched in February, next year. It could come in two variants and will feature a bezel-less display with a virtual home button under the glass.

Reports hint at Samsung equipping its flagship with an optical fingerprint sensor. Synaptics, a global leader in capacitive sensing technology, had just announced one such that can be placed under the display glass without any buttons.

Galaxy S8 is expected to run on Android 7.1 and will be powered by the brand new Snapdragon 835 chipset. We will have to wait a little longer to see what specs and features Samsung is going to bring into the much-awaited device.
