Come 2017 and Samsung will introduce the new Galaxy A7. The third generation smartphone was spotted on benchmarking site AnTuTu.
The latest leak revealed the internals of the A7, showing an octa-core 1.8GHz Exynos 7870 chipset. It will be paired with a Mali-T830 GPU and will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. As for display, expect a 5.5-inch full HD screen.
Samsung may release the Galaxy A7 in December 2017. It is clearly a refreshed version of the previous A7 (2016) which was introduced in December, last year. The device sported a 5.5-inch full HD Super Amoled display, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
As for connectivity, it supported 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, USB 2.0 and NFC. The dual-SIM phone was powered by a Snapdragon 615 chipset, backed by a 3300mAh battery.
The Galaxy A7, meanwhile, could come with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The primary camera should consist of 16-megapixel.
Samsung has been struggling to make up for lost time after it had withdrawn all of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones from sale globally following a spate of fires.
To win back customers’ trust and also regain its market share, Samsung is also rumored to be putting extra efforts on Galaxy Note 8, which could be unveiled before its usual release date.
