EIZO’s latest ColorEdge monitors offer more vivid colors

Visual technology company EIZO has launched two new high-end visual displays for professional use.

EIZO ColorEdge CS2730

The ColorEdge CG2730 is for creative professionals, while ColorEdge CS2730 is for hobbyists and prosumers. The former is a 27-inch monitor with built-in self calibration sensor for vivid colors.

The ColorEdge CG2730 has a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 and reproduces 98% of the DCI-P3 color space used in post production. Through the DisplayPort or HDMI inputs, users can enjoy 10-bit simultaneous display from a 16-bit look-up-table (LUT), meaning it can show more than one billion colors simultaneously.

The device features a sleek new cabinet design and the 178° wide viewing angles afforded by the IPS panel technology allow two or more people to view the screen at once with little change in color or contrast. The monitor is equipped with three easy-to-access USB 3.0 ports, including one port for battery charging devices such as a smartphone. It is also equipped with an IPS non-glare panel for high visibility.

The ColorEdge CS2730 is also a 27-inch monitor and sports a sleek, user-friendly design. It offers a native resolution of 2560 x 1440, which offers a pixel count of double that of 1280 x 1024 and 60% more than 1920 x 1200 resolutions.

The monitor is also 30% lighter than its predecessor, weighing just 8.9 kg. And it includes DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI-D inputs and support various types of graphics boards.

Both the screens come with a warranty of five years and will start shipping in November.
