In addition the fancy laser dirt detecting technology, the Dyson V15 Detect even has an LCD readout to tell you the size and quantity of the dirt you’re vacuuming up!
Many normal vacuums have lights on the front of the suction head to help you see what you’re vacuuming up in darker areas, but that was far too simple for vacuum pioneer Dyson.
Dyson has taken vacuuming to a whole new level with a variety of high-tech features on their latest flagship model the Dyson V15 Detect.
First, specially designed laser diodes mounted on the head of the unit shine a green (and eye-safe)laser in front of the suction head showing you exactly where the dirt is that you need to vacuum up. These lasers will light up dust even down to 10 microns, which happens to be the average size of dust and mold and plant spores.
Next a powerful 230-watt hyperdymium motor spins at up to 125,000rpm to create huge suction power to collect all that dust, dirt, and whatever else.
While the suction motor is doing it’s work, an acoustic piezo sensor and an advanced microprocessor use sound to monitor the size and quantity of the dirt it’s collecting, and feed that info to a handy LCD readout on the main unit, just in case you ever wanted to know the size and variation of all the dirt in your house.
All these fancy new gadgets don’t come cheap, as this new model has a retail price of $699. However, with such advanced features it might make the Dyson V15 Detect the most incredible vacuum cleaner we’ve ever seen and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
